The Senior Citizens Club founded by Deacon Jerremy Moorland and Sister Anselm and Sister
Benignus in October 1990 with 30 members, and now our membership is between 70 and 75.

We meet each Tuesday afternoon in the Parish Centre, commence at 2pm. with five games of
bingo, then we have a short break for tea and biscuits and a chat, finally there is a small raffle
and another game of bingo which concludes at 3.45pm.

From Easter until September we organise days out to the seaside or other places of inter, these
outings are subsidised by the club. Occasionally we have bring and buy sales, also special teas,
free lunches and a Christmas lunch.

A voluntary collection is taken for any surplus pennies at each meeting and the proceeds
donated to the Duchess of Kent Hospice.

The Club is open to anyone of retirement age and anyone who wishes to join will be made most
welcome, just come on Tuesday afternoon and see Rosemary Magee.
